Introduction

We are a group of highly experienced financial and machine learning professionals, venturing to turn visionary ideas into innovative investment tools.  All the members are from Taiwan, educated in the U.S., and reside overseas.  To accelerate development process, we are looking to recruit an exceptional programmer, who are passionate about applying artificial intelligence technologies to finance.  

Job Description

The engineer will play a critical role in transforming ideas to feasible solutions.  Projects will be modularized into numerous coding tasks.  The engineer will learn necessary technologies and work on coding independently.  He / she will be guided by senior members.  Teamwork will be primarily conducted via email, phone, or video conference. The engineer is expected to deliver a weekly update on work status.

· Passionate about programming; eager to learn; fascinated about new technologies

· Interest in finance

· Self-motivated to solve issues; think outside of box; solution oriented 

· Strong team spirit while comfortable with working independently

· Ethical 

Technical Skill Set

· Minimum

o Fluent in Python and SQL

o Comfortable with command line tools in Linux / Unix

o Ability to comprehend and express mathematical / statistical models in codes

· Good to have

o Experience with R, Tensorflow, Hadoop ecosystem (e.g. Spark, Hive),  NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB), web scraping (e.g. Scrapy), search engine (e.g. ElasticSearch), and/or various data formats (e.g. json, xml)

o Knowledge in machine learning and natural language processing

o Participate in Hackathon, Kaggle, etc

o Contribute to Github or open source projects

o Basic knowledge in Finance
