Abstract: The field of artificial intelligence is finally blossoming after the success of neural network learning.

This talk will first review the  history of AI over the past two decades, and introduce the current industry investments in AI.

The second part will focus on the technologies used by personal assistants. Finally I will introduce Mobvoi products and job openings in Taipei.

Bio: Mei-Yuh received her PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in December 1993.

She worked at Microsoft Redmond and Suzhou for 18 years, University of Washington in Seattle for 4 years,

and has been with Mobvoi AI Lab in Redmond since 2016. Her research focuses on speech recognition,
