Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University (NTHU-CS), Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., invites applications for several faculty positions beginning in August 2010 at all ranks in but not limited to the following fields: computer graphics, visualization, databases and web mining, computer systems and architecture, bio-informatics, artificial intelligence, parallel and cloud computing. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
The NTHU-CS department currently has 44 faculty members and an enrollment of 520 graduate and 550 undergraduate students. The department is internationally known for its excellence in research and teaching. It has well established research facilities and close collaborations with world-leading universities and companies. The department is affiliated with university IC Design Center and Computer and Communication Research Center for many joint projects from industry and research institutes. The university is located close to the Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park, which drives Taiwan high-tech industries. Many companies in the Industrial Park have hired our alumni to be their high ranking officials and collaborated with the department on research and training.
