本次演講將深入探討Cyber-Physical System(網宇實體系統)中的數位孿生(Digital Twin)技
術,並介紹相關智慧系統的應用。數位孿生不僅是一個虛擬的靜態複製體,它還能動態地反
映和預測實體系統的運作,從而提供前所未有的系統優化。本演講將深入解析數位攣生技術
在提升系統效率、實現預測性維護、支持決策優化等方面的優勢,並討論其結合醫療、消防
和工廠中的具體應用。
演講將介紹構建數位孿生系統所需的相關技術,涵蓋感測網路、資料融合、實時數據處理與
高精度模擬等,此外,本次演講將特別關注於如何通過建模(Modeling)技術來橋接實體世
界與虛擬世界,並深入探討這一過程中的挑戰,包括模型準確度、複雜性處理,以及資料不
一致性所帶來的困難。
同時,將結合實際案例,展示在醫療、消防與工廠領域所開發的數位攣生系統,如何實現從
實體系統到虛擬模型的精準轉換,並大幅提升了系統的運行效率與安全性。這些案例具體說
明不同的應用場景中數位攣生技術的實際落地。
This lecture will provide an in-depth exploration of Cyber-Physical Systems, with a particular focus on
the development and application of Digital Twin technology. A Digital Twin is not merely a virtual
replica but a dynamic, real-time reflection of a physical system, offering unprecedented capabilities for
system monitoring, predictive maintenance, and decision-making optimization. The lecture will
emphasize the advantages of Digital Twins, such as enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and
supporting data-driven decision processes. These benefits will be examined through practical applications
in healthcare, firefighting, and manufacturing.
From a technical perspective, the talk will dissect the essential infrastructure and tools required to
construct Digital Twins. Key technologies include sensor networks, data fusion, real-time data
processing, and high-precision simulation. A special focus will be placed on the challenges involved in
bridging the gap between the physical and virtual worlds through effective modeling. This will involve
discussing complexities in ensuring model accuracy, managing system complexity, and addressing data
inconsistencies.
In addition, I will present real-world case studies from my work in healthcare, firefighting, and
manufacturing, where Digital Twins have been successfully deployed. These examples will demonstrate
how Digital Twin systems can optimize medical devices, improve emergency response processes, and
monitor industrial workflows. The discussion will delve into how we overcame technical hurdles to
achieve precise physical-to-virtual transformations, ultimately leading to significant gains in system
performance, safety, and efficiency across different sectors.
講者介紹:
蔡佩璇教授,現任國立成功大學資訊工程系暨製造資訊與系統研究所教授,專長於網宇實體
系統,特別關注於數位孿生系統及其模型建構,應用於智慧醫療、消防以及工廠系統的發展
。蔡教授擁有國立清華大學資訊工程博士學位及美國康乃爾大學碩士學位。她的研究涵蓋數
位孿生系統建模、即時排程演算法及定位技術,擅長跨領域系統開發與設計,並在智慧醫療
設備、智慧消防以及智慧製造系統的開發方面有顯著貢獻。蔡教授曾獲得傅爾布萊特資深學
者研究獎助,並獲選於國科會研究成果記者會發表其研究。她發表了多篇國際期刊與會議論
文,擁有多項台灣及美國專利,技術已應用於各大醫療機構與工廠,對智慧化產業轉型有重
要貢獻。
Dr. Pei-Hsuan Tsai is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering
and the Institute of Manufacturing Information and Systems at National Cheng Kung University. She
specializes in Cyber-Physical Systems, with a particular focus on building Digital Twins and developing
models for applications in healthcare, firefighting, and manufacturing. Dr. Tsai holds a Ph.D. in
Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University and an M.Eng from Cornell University. Her
research includes modeling of digital twin, real-time scheduling algorithms, and positioning technologies.
Dr. Tsai has been awarded the Fulbright Senior Research Award and was selected to present her research
at a National Science Council (NSC) press conference. She has published extensively in top international
journals and conferences, holds several patents in Taiwan and the U.S., and her innovations are widely
applied in hospitals and manufacturing plants, contributing significantly to the advancement of smart
industries.
